Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board
April 13, 2015
The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board’s April, 2015 meeting was called to order by chair Leah Black. Present were: Leah Black, Kenny Cookson, Larry Smith, Frank Miles, Debi Hulse and JoeDeFelice. Margaret Egbert was absent.
Debi Hulse read the minutes of the January 12, 2015 and the February 16, 2015 meetings. Both minutes were approved as read.
Joe DeFelice reported findings of a question from February. The question was whether a member must be present or could be present by telecommunication. The answer is that the member must be present in person. Zoning meetings are public meetings open to the public, so all members must be present.
Joe reported that Dan Bailey on Lockbourne Eastern Road has still not cleaned up his property.
New variance applications were reviewed.
The Fontaines want to add a garage to the West of the present garage. This hearing will be April 20th. They are asking for a 7 foot variance. It will be 123 feet from the Center of the Road. The Code is 130 feet from the Center of the Road.
On April 27th, a variance will be heard. The Olsen’s want to add an addition to their existing garage. It is required to be 130 feet from the center of the road. Their proposed addition would be 81 feet from the center of the road. This property is on Weigand Road.
On May4th, the Appeals Board will hear a variance proposal. The Wright’s want to build a pole barn at 2476 SR 752. The proposed building would be 2 feet from the property line.
Kenny moved to close the meeting with Frank 2nd it. Meeting adjourned at 7:35pm.
