Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board
April 9, 2018
The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board held their regularly scheduled, quarterly meeting on April 9, 2018 at 7:00pm at the Harrison Township Building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, OH 43137.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Leah Black at 7:00pm. Present were: Leah Black, Peg Egbert, Frank Miles, Kenny Cookson, Debi Hulse, and Dale Hoover. Absent was: Buck Spangler. Also present were: Keith Speakman and Connie Brunner.
Debi Hulse, secretary, read the minutes of the regular, quarterly meeting of Jan. 8, 2018. Peg Egbert moved to accept the minutes. Frank Miles 2nd. Motion carried to accept the minutes as read. Debi read the minutes of the February 12, 2018 hearing. They will be amended to include that Julie Groves is the daughter of the owners of MS Trucking. Frank moved that the minutes be accepted as amended. Kenny 2nd. Minutes were approved as amended.
The Horse Facility was discussed. Keith Speakman and Connie Brunner both live on Miller Road adjacent to the facility. Keith Speakmas spoke and stated that he feels like he is living in front of Motel 6 with the bright lights. Dale asked the Prosecutors Office is we could ask them to put shades on the lights. He was told we couldn’t because it was agriculture.
Keith Speakman says the barns are higher than their properties. Water is draining on their properties and flooding the yards. He also stated that the trucks are tearing up the roads.
Chairman Leah told them there was nothing we could do. They could go to a Township meeting and state their concerns.
Peg moved that the meeting be adjourned. Kenny 2nd. The meeting adjourned.
Next regular meeting will be July 9, 2018 at 7:00pm.
