HARRISON TOWNSHIP ZONING AMENDMENT PUBLIC HEARING
August 5, 2014
CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Paul Welsh called the Public Hearing of August 5, 2014 to order at 6:45pm at the Township Building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, Ohio, 43137. Attending were Trustee Doug Clark, Fiscal Officer MaryAnn Elliott, and Zoning Inspector Joe DeFelice. Trustee Keith Peters was absent.
The Trustees read the legal notice of the proposed amendment to the Harrison Township Zoning Resolution.
Section 27.11 – No pond, lake, lagoon, impoundment area or storage vessel shall be constructed or used to store sewage, industrial waste, human waste, chemical waste, hospital or hazardous waste, treated or untreated in a residential, business or agricultural district. Only animal or human waste generated on premise is permitted.
The recommendation from the Zoning Commission meeting from July 14, 2014 was unanimous to approve the amendment
RESOLUTION 14-60
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING RESOLUTION TO INCLUDE SECTION 27.11 NO POND, LAKE, LAGOON, IMPOUNDMENT AREA OR STORAGE VESSEL SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OR USED TO STORE SEWAGE, INDUSTRIAL WASTE, HUMAN WASTE, CHEMICAL WASTE, HOSPITAL OR HAZARDOUS WASTE, TREATED OR UNTREATED IN A RESIDENTIAL, BUSINESS OR AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT. ONLY ANIMAL OR HUMAN WASTE GENERATED ON PREMISE IS PERMITTED. Mr. Clark moved and Mr. Welsh seconded. Roll call: Mr. Welsh, Yes; Mr. Clark, Yes. Motion carried to approve R14-60.

With no further comments Mr. Clark moved and Mr. Welsh seconded the motion to adjourn the Public Hearing of August 5, 2014. All were in favor and the hearing was adjourned at 6:52pm.
