HARRISON TOWNSHIP GREENLAWN PUBLIC HEARING
February 19, 2013
CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Keith Peters called the Greenlawn Public Hearing of February 19, 2013 to order at 6:15pm at the Township Hall, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, Ohio. Attending were Trustee Paul Welsh, Trustee Doug Clark, Fiscal Officer MaryAnn Elliott, and Zoning Inspector Joe DeFelice. Also present were Aaron Mortrud and Ron Younkin
The Trustees read the legal notice and reviewed the Zoning Commission’s recommendation to approve the proposed amendment submitted by Greenlawn Companies, Inc, 555 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, OH 43223 and approved by the Harrison Township Zoning Commission and recommended for approval by the Pickaway Planning Commission. The proposed amendment would have the following effects:
- Allow the property located at 1390 Duvall Road, Lockbourne, OH 43137 (parcel D1200030031205) to become dual purpose with the addition of Greenlawn RV Center, a dealer of recreational vehicles.
Mr. Mortrud explained that it would be more cost effective for their company and provide more safety for their customers than using their current site north of this location on route 23. There should not be more than five vehicles outside the service center at any given time and the property will not be used as a winter storage location.
No one was present with any objections to this zoning amendment.
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING CERTIFICATE FOR THE GREENLAWN PROPERTY, 1390 DUVALL ROAD, LOCKBOURNE, OH 43137, TO ALLOW DUAL PURPOSE OF THE PROPERTY TO INCLUDE A DEALER OF RECREATION VEHICLES. Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Clark seconded. Roll call: Mr. Peters, Yes; Mr. Welsh, Yes; Mr. Clark, Yes. Motion carried to approve R13-21.
The Trustees signed the amendment. Joe reminded the applicants that the approved amendment does not take effect for thirty days.
With no further comments Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Clark seconded the motion to adjourn the Public Hearing of February 19, 2013. All were in favor and the hearing was adjourned at 6:30pm.
