Meeting Minutes
February 16, 2015
The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board held a special meeting on February 16, 2015. The meeting was called to order by chair Leah Black at 7:01pm. Present were Leah Black, Frank Miles, Kenny Cookson and Debi Hulse. Margaret Egbert and Larry Smith were absent.
Visitors present were Robert Black, Bill Black, Paul Welsh, Dewey Cockerill and David Jones. Dewey Cockerill and David Jones were representatives of UCS, Unlimited Concrete Solutions.
Joe DeFelice presented the application of Unlimited Concrete Solutions, LLC for a Conditional Use for the property at 2795 Weigand Road, Lockbourne. Joe also read the zoning rules and an EPA abatement Report.
Representatives from UCS, David Cockerill and David Jones, spoke about the company’s plans for the property.
Neighbor Robert Black directed his questions to the representatives. Water drainage is a concern. He suggested they maintaining the retention pond and putting a tile in to drain excess water to the Black’s Catch Basin. This would be a solution so that the excess water did not flood the area or the road. Paul Welsh spoke and said the only concern was the drainage issue.
All agreed that the water situation would be handled properly.
Frank Miles made a motion to vote on the Conditional Use and Kenny Cookson 2nd it. Frank Miles, Kenny Cookson and Leah Black voted for the Conditional Use with additions of:
Maintaining the retention pond
Completing a 12 inch tile to Black’s drainage tile.
Trees on the property line be removed
Maintain property.
Motion passed
The meeting adjourned at 7:48.
Next meeting is scheduled for April 13th at 7:00.
