Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board
January 12, 2015
The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board January meeting was called to order by chair Leah Black at 7:00 pm. Present were Leah Black, Joe DeFelice, Kenny Cookson, Frank Miles and Debi Hulse. Margaret “Peggy” Egbert and Larry Smith were absent.
Debi Hulse read the Minutes of the October, 2014 meeting. The Minutes were approved.
Zoning Violation Hearing
Debi Hulse read the Notice of Zoning Violation of Patricia B Boyd and Davina Martin. The nature of the violation is Section 11.02.02B In no case shall there be more than one (1) principal building used for residential purposes on any single lot of record. The legal notice of Public Hearing was read as printed in The Circleville Herald.
Visitors present for the Zoning Violation Hearing were Davina Martin, David Smith, Matt & Becky Rayburn, and Doug Czako.
Davina Martin spoke on her own behalf and stated that her nephew stayed in the garage apartment occasionally. Neighbors David Smith, Matt Rayburn and Becky Rayburn spoke and expressed their concerns and opinions.
The board voted unanimously to find Davina Martin in violation of the Zoning Code. Joe DeFelice handed Davina Martin a 2nd Notice of Violation.
No Old Business
UCS has filed for Conditional Use for the property on Weigand Road. They want to use the property as a Contractor’s Yard. The Conditional Use H will be heard on February 16, 2015.
Frank moved to close the meeting, Kenny seconded the motion. Meeting was adjourned at 7:40pm.
The next meeting will be February 16, 2015.
