HARRISON TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 8, 2018
The regularly scheduled quarterly meeting for the Harrison Township Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Kelly Spriggs at 6:00pm. The meeting was held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Harrison Township Building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
Present were: Kelly Spriggs, Matt Rayburn, Lisa Darnell, Ryan Thompson, Ronde Cook-Brushart, Debi Hulse and Dale Hoover.
Debi read the minutes from the Quarterly meeting held on October 10, 2017. Ronde Cook-Brushart moved to accept the minutes, Matt Rayburn 2nd the motion. Motion carried and the minutes were approved as read.
New Zoning Commission member, Ryan Thompson, was introduced. Ryan needs to be given a copy of Zoning Resolutions and the Strategic Land Use Plan.
OLD BUSINESS:
Ronde stated she was surprised with the amount of activity at Ashville Pike and Shepard Road. A discussion followed as everyone on the Commission noticed the amount of activity and extent of construction. There is more than 1 project going. The Zoning Commission heard and recommended the Air Quality Facility project. We had limited sight to the full scope of the extent of the project. The Air Quality Facility was 1 small part of this major project.
Vance Trucking. They were supposed to plant trees as screenings in the spring and the fall. This is not done yet. The Zoning Commission is recommending that the Trustees follow-up with a letter to Vance Trucking about the progress of screenings. The Zoning Commission recommended that these be planted by June, 2017. (From Hearing minutes of June, 2016) Ronde moved, and Matt 2nd to recommend that the trustees follow up regarding the planting of vegetation screenings. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Baum/Brandon Hines Property. This property is on Duvall Court West next to the railroad on the South side of Duvall Court West. The back of the barns are visible from SR 762. The Barn is falling in. Dale Hoover, Zoning Inspector, will check into this matter.
Matt moved that the meeting be adjourned. Lisa 2nd. Meeting adjourned at 6:43pm. The next regularly scheduled, quarterly meeting will be Monday, April 9, 2018 at 6:00pm.
