Corrected Meeting Minutes

January 9, 2017

The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board held their regularly scheduled quarterly meeting on January 9, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Harrison Township Building.  The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Chairman Leah Black.

Present were:  Leah Black, Kenny Cookson, Buck Spangler, Frank Miles, Peg Egbert, Debi Hulse and Doug Czako.

Debi Hulse, Secretary, read the minutes from the October 10, 2016 meeting.  Peg moved to accept the minutes as read.  Frank 2nd.  Minutes were approved as read.

Debi read the minutes from the December 19, 2016 meeting.  The minutes were corrected by adding “After the vote, Buck made a motion to rescind the vote and table the vote for 30 days to allow NorthPoint to do additional studies on how to help the neighbors with water issues.  Frank Miles 2nd the motion.  Vote was unanimous to table the vote on this Zoning Variance for 30 days.”  Peg moved to accept the minutes as corrected.  Buck 2nd.  Minutes were approved as corrected.

Old Business:  No old business

New business:  The trustees have asked for alternates to be added to the Zoning Appeals Board.  The alternate must live in the unincorporated area of the township.  Anyone interested should contact the Trustees.  Frank suggested Ryan Thompson & Melanie Thompson as alternates.

Debi told the Board that the Trustees will have a Strategic Use plan copied and available to the Zoning Appeals Board.  This copy will stay at the Township House.

Buck made a motion that the Zoning Appeals Board state that all days within a timeline be business days.  Example:  The Board has 30 days to hear an application.  This means 30 business days.  Kenny 2nd the motion.  Vote was taken.  It was unanimously approved.

The next meeting will be on January 30, 2017.  This will be with NorthPoint to vote on the Zoning Variance.  The vote was tabled on December 19, 2016.

There will be a meeting on February 6, 2017.  This will be with Columbus Bituminous Concrete.

The next regularly scheduled quarterly meeting will be April10, 2017
