The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board met Monday, June 12, 2017 at 7:00pm to discuss and resolve a Zoning Violation at 11252 Bulen Pierce Road, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Leah Black at 7:00PM. Present were: Leah Black, Peg Egbert, Frank Miles, Kenny Cookson, Debi Hulse and Dale Hoover. Absent was: Buck Spangler. Also present were: Carl “Dino” Martin, Gary Stewart, Connie Brunner and Keith Speakman.
Chairman Leah Black swore in those who wished to speak at the meeting. The meeting was also taped.
Debi Hulse, Secretary, read the Legal Notice and a Letter from Carl D. & Davina Martin. The letter stated that they were not in violation of the Zoning Ordinance. Dale Hoover, Zoning Inspector, read 11.02.02B from the Zoning Code.
Dino Martin stated that Gary Stewart does not live in the garage. He says that Gary just stays with them in the house. Gary stated there was a misunderstanding. He stated, “I am not living in the garage. My primary residence is in New Albany. I stay with Dino maybe 2 nights a week.”
Dale stated that they are in violation because 2 or more families cannot live in the same house. Only 1 primary residence per address. Dale also stated the Gary Stewart gave the address of 11252 Bulen Pierce Road, Lockbourne when renewing his Driver’s License.
Leah stated that the garage is not a mother-in-law-suite. It is to be used for storage only.
Frank Miles made a motion that this matter be turned over to the County Prosecutor’s Office for further action. Motion was 2nd by Kenny Cookson. Vote was 4 – 0 in favor of the Prosecutor’s Office acting on this matter.
Peg Egbert moved to adjourn. Kenny Cookson 2nd. Meeting was adjourned.
