HARRISON TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE PUBLIC HEARING
March 7, 2017
PUBLIC HEARING CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Bill Welsh called the public hearing of March 7, 2016 to order at 6:30pm at the Harrison Township Building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, Ohio. Attending were Trustee Doug Clark, Trustee Joe DeFelice, Trustee Bill Welsh, and Fiscal Officer MaryAnn Elliott. Nate Green, Brent Miles and Dave Robinson were present to represent NorthPoint Development. Residents Ron & Brenda Miller, Bonnie Wohnhas, Larry Kelly and Jeff Tussing were present.
Trustee Welsh read the Rules of Order for the public hearing.
The Clerk read the Legal Notice of Public Hearing published in the Circleville Herald on February 15, 2017.
The Clerk read the recommendation for the Pickaway County Planning Commission to approve the application to amend the zoning district for these tracts.
The Clerk read the recommendation from the Zoning Commission to accept the four adjacent properties to the Rickenbacker Business District.
Brent Miles explained that the three properties on Lockbourne Eastern and the property on State Route 762 had been purchased by NorthPoint and they would like to rezone them as part of the larger parcel.
Mr. Welsh asked if any resident would like to address the board and none chose to speak.
Mr. DeFelice expressed his appreciation and thanked NorthPoint for purchasing these parcels so these residents were not left as an island inside a large development. Mr. Clark thanked NorthPoint for working with the Trustee Board through the process.
RESOLUTION 17-16
A RESOLUTION TO RE-ZONE FOUR PARCELS (D1200030024400, D1200030025702, D1200030025703, D1200030025704) TO THE RICKENBACKER BUSINESS DISTRICT.
Mr. DeFelice made the motion and it was seconded by Mr. Clark. The Trustees voted as follows:
Mr. Clark: Yes Mr. DeFelice: Yes Mr. Welsh: Yes Resolution 17-16 was approved.
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further comments and all scheduled matters attended to, Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Clark seconded the motion to adjourn the March 7, 2016 Public Hearing. All were in favor and the meeting was adjourned at 6:36pm.
