New Fire Chief


At the May 2, 2022, Harrison Township Board of Trustees meeting, the Board of Trustees voted unanimously to appoint Captain Shawn Davidson to the Fire Chief’s position with the Harrison Township Fire Department.


Chief Davidson will assume operational responsibility of the Fire Department on May 9, 2022 and begin training with Chief Chad Noggle. Chief Davidson will officially take over command of the Fire Department on June 3, 2022, following the retirement of Chief Noggle.


Chief Davidson began his career with the Harrison Township Fire Department in 1997 as a Part-Time Firefighter. He earned a position as a Full Time Firefighter in 2000. Chief Davidson was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned as the shift commander of 1 unit in 2013. Subsequently he was promoted to Captain in 2014 and served in this role until his appointment as Fire Chief. Chief Davidson’s last day on company is May 5, 2022.


Chief Davidson will have the privilege to lead the Fire Department as the community and the Fire Department begins to experience unprecedented growth over the next several years.


Chief Davidson is the 19th Fire Chief to serve the Harrison Township Fire Department since it’s inception
