Meeting Minutes
October 10, 2016
The Harrison Township Zoning Commission me on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 8:00pm at the Harrison Township Building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137 for the regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kelly Spriggs at 8:00pm. Present were: Kelly Spriggs, Trevor Younkin, Ronde Cook-Brushart, Matt Rayburn, Lisa Darnell, Debi Hulse and Doug Czako.
The minutes from the July 11, 2016 quarterly meeting were emailed to each member. Each member had read the minutes before the meeting. Additions and Corrections to the minutes. 5th paragraph – add Craig Stevenson’s title. Project Engineer from Harral & Stevenson. 7th paragraph – Change solar lighting to “Signs will be to code.” 2nd page, 5th paragraph – Doug gave the Vances permit applications. Ronde Cook-Brushart moved to approve the corrected minutes. Trevor Younkin 2nd. The minutes were approved as corrected.
Old Business:
All members were handed the Notice of Violation/Adjudication order from the Pickaway County Building Department dated August 12, 2016. This order was addressed to Barbara & David Renick regarding the Renick Farmhouse at 12575 US23 in Harrison Township. All members read the Notice. The Renick farmhouse was razed today, October 10, 2016.
The Bailey Property – Doug Czako sent the Prosecutor’s Office an email on July 7, 2016. The reply from the Prosecutor’s Office on 7/28/16 was that Jaimie would get back to Doug Czako after her vacation. Doug sent another email on 9/27/16 to check on the progress. There has been no response to the 9/27/16 email.
The Vance Property – The Harrison Township trustees have approved their plan.
The Zoning Commission has not received a response from the trustees regarding the proposed changes to the Strategic Land Plan. The Commission is still waiting to hear from the Harrison Township trustees.
New Business:
The Zoning Commission will hold a hearing on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Harrison Township Building at 7:00pm. The City of Columbus has requested a change of zoning from Farm Residential to Planned Business for property they own on the Northeast corner of Shepherd Road and Ashville Pike. They are planning on building an Air Quality Facility.
The Commission would like to move their regularly scheduled quarterly meetings to the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30pm. If this move is allowed, the next regularly scheduled quarterly meeting will be on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 6:30pm.
Matt Rayburn moved to adjourn the meeting. Ronde Cook-Brushart 2nd. Meeting adjourned.
