Harrison Township Board of Zoning Appeals met at the township house on Weigand Road at 7:00pm on January 10, 2011. Present were: Black, Egbert, Smith, Cookson, Zoning Inspector Joe DeFelice. Absent was Miles. One guest, David Whipple was present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Black. The minutes of December 13th, 2010 were read by the zoning secretary. Egbert made a motion to approve the minutes as read and Cookson seconded it. The Zoning inspector took the floor and explained about the paperwork needed with Mr. David Whipple to bring his inspection up to code with our current zoning standards. The appeals board needs a zoning certificate stating that all codes have been met and paid for to the board of appeals. Mr. DeFelice will contact Mr. Shelton, building inspector, about this matter and if it isn’t done within a reasonable time Mr. DeFelice will bring it back in front of the appeals board. At this time Mr. Whipple was excused.
Old business was brought up to the members about an old business with Pat Neal. Mr. DeFelice informed the members that he was to meet with the trustees on February 7th, 2010 for rezoning. This was between the assistant prosecuting attorney in Civil Court, section 1703-H with no public notice published in the paper. New business for the evening was much discussion about changing the chairmanship as advised by the trustees. The board members to keep Mrs. Black as the chairman. Smith made the motion to have Mrs. Black stay as chairman, and Egbert seconded it. All members agreed to this matter. As there was no more business, Smith made motion to adjourn the meeting and Cookson second it. Next meeting will be held on April 12th, 2011.
