Leah Black, Chairman, called the hearing to order at 7:00pm.  Present were:  Leah Black, Peg Egbert, Frank Miles, Kenny Cookson, Buck Spangler, Debi Hulse and Dale Hoover.  Also present were:  Paul Lyda from Sign Affects Limited and Larry Kelly, neighbor.

Debi Hulse stated that tonight’s hearing would be taped.  Debi Hulse, Secretary, read the Legal Notice which was published in the Circleville Herald.

Dale Hoover, Zoning Inspector, gave the board an overview of the application.  The Amazon Warehouse is a big building.  Our zoning only allows for a 40 square foot sign.  Amazon needs a bigger sign.  They are asking for 2 signs.  #1 will be 330 sq.’ and #2 will be 168 sq.’  These signs will be attached to the building.

Paul Lyda, representative from Sign Affects Limited, spoke.  Sign Affects is handling the signage for Amazon.  The signs will match the size of the building.  Semi drivers, delivery drivers, etc need to see the sign to locate the building.

Leah Black asked if there were questions from the board.

Buck Spangler asked if the sign would be illuminated.  Paul Lyda answered that it would be illuminated.  They will use LED illumination.

Frank Miles asked how soon the sign will be up.  Paul Lyda answered that the 1st sign would be up as soon as possible.   The 2nd sign will be 6 – 8 weeks out.

Leah Black asked how soon Amazon will be in the building.  Paul Lyda answered that the building is still in the hands of the contractor.

Larry Kelly, neighbor, was asked if he had any comments, questions or concerns.  He answered, “No.”  He was just curious as to how the proceedings worked.

Frank Miles made a motion to accept the variance.  Peg Egbert 2nd the motion.  A vote was called by Chairman Leah Black.  A Yes vote would be in favor of the requested variance.

Peg Egbert            Yes

Frank Miles            Yes
